Deck the Halls
Quadriga Consort: On a cold Winter's Day*
Deck the Halls ist auch als 'Deck the Hall' bekannt. Der englischsprachige Text stammt aus dem Jahr 1862 und wurde von dem schottischen Musiker Thomas Oliphant verfasst. Als Melodie wird das walisische Lied 'Nos Galan', ein Silvester-Lied aus dem 16. Jahrhundert, verwendet. Bekannt ist auch eine Version der 'Red Hot Chili Peppers' aus dem Jahr 1994. Das Weihnachtslied wird in Großbritannien auch gern zu Silvester gesungen.
